Abstract:
Separate issues of interaction between forensic expert institutions and forensic investigative bodies in the process of appointment and production of handwriting examinations are considered. Based on the analysis of the results of reviewing the conclusions of handwriting experts and questioning the staff of the forensic units of the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the most pressing problems in the designated activities and ways to solve them are highlighted. Significant shortcomings related to incorrect formulation of questions, the presentation of an insufficient number of comparative samples, as well as the lack of information in the submitted materials characterizing the personality of the performer and the conditions of the manuscript are considered. As a result of the analysis of the noted shortcomings, some recommendations have been formulated aimed at improving the effectiveness of interaction between these subjects of legal proceedings.
