The trends aimed at digitalizing international cooperation to combat illegal migration at the present stage are examined. The transformations of cooperation mechanisms at the universal, regional and bilateral levels (taking into account the experience of the Russian Federation) are analyzed influenced by the introduction of new technologies. In particular, attention is paid to the creation of common databases, the use of innovative border control systems, the introduction of blockchain technologies, etc. A special role is given to the participation of the Russian Federation in the activities of regional organizations (CIS, CSTO, SCO), as well as cooperation with the Republic of Belarus within the framework of the Union State.
