This article examines the economic security system of the Russian Federation, which, in the context of a changing international environment, faces a number of challenges requiring careful analysis and the search for effective solutions. Key threats to the country's economic security, both external and internal, are analyzed, as outlined in the Russian Federation's Economic Security Strategy for the Period up to 2030. The potential of modern technologies, including the use of digital platforms and artificial intelligence, for implementing the Smart City concept is explored as key areas for improving the country's economic security. Particular attention is paid to improving four areas of the state economic security system: urban management, the digital economy, information security, and quality of life. Based on the study's results, it is concluded that the introduction of modern technologies to implement the Smart City concept is an important tool for improving the country's economic security.
