Considered the possibility of selecting specific physical exercises for the formation and development of relevant professionally significant qualities and abilities necessary to perform the tasks assigned to police officers in order to protect the interests of the individual, society and the state. The author attempted to «transfer» the effect of physical exercise to the professional activities of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation. The specific nature of the professional activities of employees of internal affairs agencies is associated with high social responsibility, complexity and danger; therefore, it can be effective and serve the interests being protected only if it is carried out by employees who are formed as individuals and professionals.
