The study of economic security at the regional level is of particular importance due to the increasing role of regions in the country’s socio-economic development and the need to maintain the stability of territorial socio-economic systems in the face of growing internal and external threats. The article examines modern methodological approaches to the formation of a system of indicators for ensuring economic security at the regional level, highlighting their advantages and limitations in terms of comprehensiveness, adaptability, and practical applicability in the context of the regional economy. Special attention is given to the selection criteria and principles of grouping indicators, which ensure the objectivity and completeness of monitoring the state of economic security in the region.
