Problems of the state of modern theory of state building in the field of management are considered. An attempt is being analyzed to develop a new discourse on the development of the theory of state building in connection with the introduction of the discipline «Fundamentals of Russian statehood» by the country’s universities. Experience of Turkmenistan on the development of spiritual and moral support for state building is shown. Reassessment of ideas, institutions, as well as the activities of persons associated with the historical period called «Perestroika» and the post-Soviet stage of Russian history are covered. Distinction between formation and civilizational theories is disclosed. Experience of reforming the economy in the countries of Southeast Asia is shown. Mechanism of inhibition of the development of a new model of socio-economic development is being investigated.
