Abstract:
the article is devoted to an empirical study of the influence of psychocorrectional influence on drug-addicted convicts. Such individuals have difficulty adapting to the conditions of correctional institutions and violate the established procedure for serving their sentences due to their personal characteristics. Psychocorrectional work with drug-addicted convicts optimizes the convict's perception of himself as a person who fully determines his own life path, and also contributes to a positive change in his personality traits, such as the development of determination, the establishment of clearer goals in life, and the formation of a perception of oneself as a strong individual with sufficient freedom of choice to shape one's life in accordance with one's goals and sense of purpose.
