The article is devoted to the study of certain psychological characteristics in the field of interethnic communication in the professional activities of police officers. The authors noted the fundamental cultural characteristics of representatives of different countries and nationalities that are directly related to the activities of police officers, and also conducted a comparative analysis of the psychological characteristics of interethnic communication of citizens of the Russian Federation and foreign countries, in the amount of 75 respondents. Recommendations for improving the level of competence of police officers in the field of interethnic communication have been prepared.
