The specifics of law enforcement activities are related to the increased exposure of employees to negative influences, which places special demands on their professional and personal qualities. This is becoming most relevant for young employees, since their professional identity is in the process of active formation. In the context of increasing information pressure and the spread of unreliable data, the formation of information and psychological stability is of particular importance. The article presents a theoretical analysis and the results of an empirical study aimed at studying the factors of information and psychological stability in relation to the specifics of the professional development of cadets and students of departmental universities. The hypothesis of a three-component structure of information and psychological stability of students (emotional-volitional, value-motivational and cognitive aspects), influencing the perception of false information, was tested. The sample consisted of 260 full-time cadets of the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. A set of psychodiagnostic techniques and statistical data processing methods were used for the analysis. The results obtained confirm the hypothesis about the multicomponent nature of information and psychological stability. It has been established that the emotional-volitional component of information and psychological stability reflects two factors: the first factor combines emotional stability and socially adaptive characteristics; the second factor combines the level of development of self-regulation and the degree of conviction in personal responsibility. The cognitive component is integrated into the self-efficacy factor, which demonstrates its connection with the motivational and value sphere. The revealed patterns make it possible to develop targeted methods for the formation and development of key skills aimed at increasing the resistance of cadets and trainees to destructive information influences, as well as improving the professional training system.
