The purpose of the article is to characterize the features of statistical accounting of personality traits of criminals convicted of committing a corruption–related crime. Based on the statistical data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation containing information about offenders, the specific prevailing individual characteristics of criminals who have committed corruption offenses have been identified, such as gender, age, social status, family status, income level, education, qualifications, etc. The features of statistical accounting of psychological personality traits of a corrupt official are revealed, recommendations for improving the methodology for detecting and accounting for deviations expressed in the commission of corrupt practices by the subject are considered.
