The possibilities of statistical analysis are objectively limited by the specifics of the prospective research object. Such an object, designed to transform society, is considered in this scientific article. The following issues fell under the prism of qualitative analysis: the boundaries and areas of statistical accounting of the rapidly developing information and digital space and its consequences, goals and objectives of their statistical analysis; the content of digitalization and the information technology breakthrough, the composition of the costs of information and telecommunication transformations of the production base and consumer sphere, as well as the superdynamic changes in the structure of public relations caused by them — in the labor market, the social sphere, in all types of economic activity; problems of statistical assessment of the results and economic effect generated by digitalization and artificial intelligence; statistical analysis the "digital" confrontation between society and crime.
