The article analyzes the risks and injury incidence among law enforcement officers in the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic during firearms and physical training. The study examines legal regulations ensuring safety and occupational health in the Ministries of Internal Affairs of both countries, as well as recent academic research and statistical data. Key causes of accidents and injuries in firearms and physical training are identified. A comparative legal analysis of approaches to preventing injuries is conducted – from occupational safety requirements and special instructions to oversight of safety rule compliance. Common trends and differences in legal regulation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan are noted. The article highlights existing issues and suggests ways to improve the regulatory framework to reduce injury rates during police training.
