The current problems of legal regulation of the rights of migrant workers in the Russian Federation are investigated. The existing regulatory framework is analyzed, systemic contradictions and gaps are identified, and socio-economic and political features associated with mass labor migration are considered. Special attention is paid to the integration of migrants, countering illegal migration and ensuring the national security of the state. Based on the analysis, conclusions are formulated and directions for improving migration legislation are proposed.
