The issues of using hardware-software complex «Safe City» in crime detection are studied. The essence of the system APK «Safe City», in relation to the goals and objectives of operational and investigative activities, its development and modern capabilities in the fight against crime is disclosed; the data on the detection of crimes using the system APK «Safe City» in Moscow are given. The practice of operational officers of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow on the use of hardware and software complex «Safe City» in solving crimes is analyzed.
