The article reveals the importance of legal priority as a special means of legal regulation in ensuring the national security of the Russian Federation and the realization of national interests. It is noted that the legal priority in the current legislation from the point of view of legal technology is fixed in various terminological constructions, including through the concepts of «strategic priorities» and «national priorities». At the same time, it is emphasized that strategic national priorities act as a means of ensuring the national interests and national security of the country. It is argued that legal priority, carrying an ordering character, acts as a legal regulator of various national interests. The author comes to the conclusion that legal priority should act as a measure of the combination of various interests. Ensuring the realization of national interests through legal priority leads to stability, order and national security.
