One of the most important areas of the state strategy for combating crime is the investigation of crimes committed in previous years. A reliable foundation for this activity is the forensic support of the investigation of such criminal acts. Professor Vladimir Petrovich Lavrov is rightfully considered the founder of the theory of investigating crimes of the past in Russian criminology.
