Abstract:
The sources of ancient Russian law are analyzed. The characteristic features of the Old Russian legislation are indicated. It is noted that the norms of the princely legislation were of a casual nature, i.e. they reflected individual rather specific life situations. The law lacked general definitions, universal legal constructions. These circumstances were taken into account in the further characterization of artificially isolated civil, criminal and procedural relations.
