The scientific discussion on the relationship between interest and law is analyzed. It is concluded that interest and law, although interrelated, are far from identical concepts. Interest is not included and cannot be included in the content of a subjective right, as it is not and cannot be its essence. Interest and law are different phenomena of objective reality.
