THE USE OF INFORMATION AND TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORKS (INCLUDING THE INTERNET) TO COMMIT CRIMES AGAINST THE PERSON: ISSUES OF LEGISLATIVE REGULATION
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The structure of computer crime in the Russian Federation includes not only crimes in the field of computer information, but also a large number of criminal acts committed with the help of information and telecommunication technologies, including through the Internet. At the same time, in the last decade, Russian computer crime has significantly transformed, covering more and more new spheres of public relations. In recent years, significant changes have been made to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation to improve the effectiveness of combating crimes committed using computer technology. At the same time, these measures are not enough to successfully combat crimes of the type under study, since the legislator does not always have time to track changes in the vector of socially dangerous acts committed using information and telecommunications networks, which affects the quality of law enforcement and preventive activities.
