A pilot project on long-term care for the elderly and disabled is being implemented in Russia. A standard model for the implementation of such care has been legislatively developed, which provides for three forms of social services: stationary, semi-stationary and home-based. The study analyzes all three forms of social care, identifies positive and problematic aspects. And also the features of social care organized in an original (not typical) form are revealed. Based on the results of the study, proposals were formulated to improve the legislation on social care.
