Abstract:
The motivational sphere of police officers as a psychological condition for the development and success in the profession, the effectiveness of professional activity is being considered. According to the authors, the motivational potential includes the strong-willed orientation of the employee, his interest in achieving higher indicators, the ability to focus on professional tasks, the ability to use the resources at his disposal as efficiently as possible, the desire to engage other members of the team and direct their efforts in the right direction. The authors analyzed the sphere of orientation of police officers as the most important component of professionally significant qualities underlying a positive image. The dynamic and structural aspects of motivation of professional activity of police officers, as well as the features of their value-motivational sphere, which reflects value orientations, social attitudes, interests and socially conditioned motives for the activities of police officers are being considered.
