The essence of the state budget policy is revealed, the role of the budget sphere and budget policy in ensuring economic security of the Russian Federation is defined. The statistical data are analyzed, the efficiency of the budget policy in the Russian Federation for 2019–2024 is assessed on the basis of calculated indicators. The conclusion is made about the absence of a critical situation in the Russian economy and about a fairly high degree of effectiveness of the implemented budget policy in the Russian Federation in the last five years, when our country faced two unprecedented threats not only to the Russian economy and its economic security of the economy, but above all, to the integral and sovereign existence of our state in the future. The priorities and directions of the budget policy of the Russian Federation for the perspective up to 2027 are systematized. It is noted that the success of the Russian Federation in achieving its plans and the level of economic security of our state depend on the effectiveness and thoughtfulness of the budget policy.
