General theoretical and practical aspects of forensic prevention of extremist crimes in the information and telecommunication space are considered. Based on the study of modern scientific approaches and analysis of the results of practice of counteraction to the crimes of this kind, the position on the recognition of forensic prevention as one of the priorities of law enforcement agencies in countering extremism, which contributes to the timely detection and minimization of the causes and conditions of this type of illegal activity is defended.
