Criminological science in the twentieth century positioned various models of the mechanism of criminal behavior: anthropobiological, sociobiological, psychopathic and socio-psychological. And all these models, if you seriously, rather than formally, approach the analysis of their essence, it turns out that there are no legal grounds to hold a person accountable for a crime committed. Conversely, the model of the mental mechanism of criminal behavior proposed for discussion reveals the internal basis of human responsibility for a criminal act. This responsibility results from a free-willed choice and a conscious motive for a particular form of behavior. There is no place in this mechanism for the external objective causality promoted by the Marxist doctrine of determinism.
