A comparative legal analysis of the Chisinau and Minsk Conventions «On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters» regarding the regulation of marriage and family relations has been carried out, and some differences between these legal acts have been highlighted. Some provisions of the Conventions are illustrated with examples from judicial practice, explained by reference to the norms of the national family legislation of the CIS member countries. Problematic aspects that need additional legislative clarification are highlighted.
