Administrative and jurisdictional activity of officials at the present stage of development of society and the state, related to the maintenance of law and order in the information space, opens up a number of problematic issues in the field of activity of authorities under consideration. These issues are of a different nature, in particular, problems with the material and technical equipment of specialized law enforcement units, an acute shortage of qualified personnel, an insufficient level of development of methodological recommendations, as well as a number of problems of legal regulation of administrative and jurisdictional activities can be identified. The latter of which, of course, is a circumstance that makes it difficult to counteract the spread of extremist materials. To overcome it, it requires the development and adoption of a set of measures aimed at eliminating the existing legal gap. As one of the ways to resolve it, it seems possible to amend article 4.5 by increasing the terms of bringing to administrative responsibility for extremist offenses up to 2 years from the moment the offense was committed.
