The features of frauds committed using information and telecommunication technologies are being considered. It is established that the considered types of fraud are united by a common legal nature with other forms of theft, at the same time they have distinctive features due to the use of information and telecommunication technologies by an attacker in illegal activities. The author provides statistical data on the number of crimes committed using information and telecommunication technologies, analyzes them, provides points of view regarding the essence of the crimes under consideration and their distinctive features.
