Some aspects of the provision of assistance by voluntary (volunteer) organizations to internal affairs bodies in the prevention of illegal consumption and trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances are considered. The analysis of regional practices of assistance to internal affairs agencies allowed us to identify positive and effective methods of preventing illegal consumption and trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
