The article is devoted to the issues of scientific support for the activities of law enforcement agencies. Scientific and legal documents providing general provisions, characteristics, goals, tasks and principles of scientific support for the activities of bodies, mechanism and expected results, as well as measures to implement specific goals and deadlines for their execution are considered and analyzed. Numerous documents and materials on scientific support for the activities of law enforcement and law enforcement agencies, as well as other scientific and educational institutions have been studied. During the analysis of documents on scientific support of the activities of bodies and departments, proposals and recommendations of the scientific community of institutions (scientific and educational) of other departments were taken into account.
