The problem of qualifying individual criminal acts committed during the period of a special military operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is being examined. Within the framework of the issue under consideration, the authors determine the essence and content of public dissemination under the guise of reliable messages of deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens. It is concluded that in order to stabilize the social situation, it is necessary to tighten measures to counteract the spread of knowingly false information about ongoing events and the actions of the armed forces, as well as to take measures to prevent disinformation in the information space.
