Regional investment security is an important component of the economic security of Russian regions, but its formation because of sanctions pressure requires the search for new solutions. The purpose of the study: to identify the features of the formation of regional investment security using the examples of the Amur region and the Krasnoyarsk region, to identify problems of investment security in these regions and also to develop necessary solutions. Krasnoyarsk region, despite its significantly more significant position in the Russian economy, lags behind the Amur region in terms of the dynamics of investment in fixed capital and the amount of investment per capita. Investment activity in the Amur region is significantly more dependent on state support, however, the share of investments in joint ownership in the Krasnoyarsk region exceeds 31 %. The Amur region and Krasnoyarsk region do not properly use the opportunity to attract foreign investment and improve the investment climate, so their positions in the National Rating of the Investment Climate in the Regions are not adequate. Also are proposed recommendations to strengthen regional investment security in the Amur region and Krasnoyarsk region, which will also improve the investment climate in the analyzed regions of Russia.
