The criminal law regulation of the illegal conduct and organization of gambling is being investigated. The analysis of the composition of Article 171.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is carried out, and its changes are also considered. Judicial statistics on crimes in the economic sphere are being studied, as well as current judicial practice. The specifics of the implementation of this crime in the information and telecommunication network of the Internet are described.
