The concept and structure of obligation in the German law are being considered. An obligation is one of the main institutions of civil law and represents a lega lrelationship, according to which one party (the debtor) is obliged to perform a certain action or refrain from it in favor of the other party (the creditor). The structure of the obligation includes elements such as subjects, objects, grounds for the occurrence and content of the obligation. The article examines the main aspects of the concept and structure of obligation in the German law and their significance for legal relations in this jurisdiction.
