The issues of applying the scenario approach to the analysis of the economic security of the region in conditions of instability of the external environment are considered. Features of the application are characterized and the properties of information and analytical tools are described, allowing for a prompt response to challenges and threats to the economic security of the region. The results of computational experiments to obtain parameters for the development of the region that meet the requirements of its economic security are presented.
