The article demonstrates the importance of private property rights within the framework of constitutional and legal regulation as the fundamental basis of the Russian legal order. The paper attempts to analyze the substantive essence of the principle of inviolability of property enshrined in the Constitution of the Russian Federation. The author in his article touched upon the problem of distinguishing the subjective right of ownership from the point of view of constitutional and civil law. The author pays special attention to the understanding of the right of private property through its correlation with the duties of a person and a citizen.
