Abstract:
The importance of everyday and scientific cognition in the activities of the investigator in the investigation of crime is considered. The forms of cognition, everyday and scientific, and their interrelationship are analyzed. The value of the forms of reflection in cognition is determined: informational, anticipatory and modelling. Attention is paid to the importance of intuitive and rational components of thinking as a way of cognition, as well as the need for anticipation in investigative activity. The connection between ordinary and scientific cognition and criminalistic methodology is established, which allows the investigator to effectively plan and conduct investigations.
