The law enforcement practice in cases of administrative offenses provided for in Part 9 of Article 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation is analyzed. It is noted that modern legislation in this area is primarily aimed at combating the spread of fake news and misinformation of citizens, and also provides for tougher penalties for the creation and dissemination of fake news. The authors summarize that based on the analysis of the monitoring of administrative offenses aimed at combating false information published under the guise of socially significant reliable messages, it can be concluded that decisions under Article 13.15 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation are actively applied in modern law enforcement practice.
