The analysis of the urgent problem of preventing the involvement of migrants in extremist activities is carried out, viewed through the prism of the specifics of the mechanism of such involvement, which includes certain methods and means of unlawful influence on this target group, aimed at inducing the commission of offenses and crimes of extremist orientation. The purpose of the scientific research is to gain new knowledge about the specifics of the objective and subjective elements of the mechanism of migrants’ involvement in extremist associations and (or) individual extremist crimes. To achieve this goal, research tasks have been set and solved to identify and analyze relevant features that are of great importance for improving the effectiveness of preventing the involvement of migrants in extremist activities. The study used the universal dialectical method of cognition, as well as a set of general scientific and private scientific methods, including the comparative legal method and the method of legal modeling, as a result of which conclusions were obtained and substantiated, revealing the features of this mechanism, and proposals for improving preventive measures in this area.
