The article discusses the problematic issues of using special handwriting knowledge in the detection and investigation of crimes. At the same time, the importance of interaction of subjects authorized to appoint a forensic handwriting examination and the use of its results with an expert and a specialist was noted. Recommendations are given on improving the organizational and tactical activities of the initiator of the examination with knowledgeable handwriting experts, including when appointing forensic handwriting examinations.
