National debt is an integral part of any modern economy. It is a collection of financial obligations that a country has to its domestic and foreign creditors as a result of borrowing to cover budget deficits or finance government programs. In the context of globalization and the instability of the world economy, studying the phenomenon of national debt and its impact on the national economy is particularly relevant. This article aims to analyze the essence of national debt, its forms and types, and the impact of national debt on the economy of the Russian Federation.
