The article discusses the problem of psychological barriers in the management activities of junior commanders in educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and ways to overcome them. The article describes the methodological foundations of the conducted research, presents and justifies the psychological barriers in the management activities of junior commanders in cadet units. The article analyzes the results of an empirical study of 227 junior commanders, which show the relationship between psychological barriers and their impact on the effectiveness of their management activities. The article outlines the main directions for further research.
