The article presents the results of an empirical study of psychological readiness for activity as a multi-component construct (using the example of military personnel). The motivational, emotional, cognitive, volitional, and regulatory components of psychological readiness for activity (using the example of military personnel) are analyzed. The features and directions for psychological support of a specialist's professional development are identified. The purpose of the study was to conduct an empirical investigation of the components of psychological readiness for activity. According to many authors, this construct is multidimensional and multi-component. Accordingly, we have identified, interpreted, and analyzed the motivational (motivation to achieve), emotional (emotional stability), cognitive (field independence), volitional (volitional self-control), and regulatory (conscious self-regulation) components of psychological readiness for activity. The conducted study involving 180 respondents and a set of 5 psychodiagnostic methods allowed us to identify the areas of psychological assistance in the process of professional development of a military personnel.
