POTENTIAL OF THE CRITICAL INCIDENT METHOD IN DEVELOPING INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE AMONG EMPLOYEES OF THE MIGRATION SERVICE OF THE MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF RUSSIA

Abstract:
The purpose of this scientific article is to substantiate the relevance of developing and developing intercultural communicative competence among employees of the Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the context of the ethnocultural diversity of modern Russian society, with a focus on internal migration. In their professional work, employees must navigate a variety of social and cultural environments. Intercultural communicative competence in the context of migration involves the ability to skillfully navigate the tension between recognizing and simultaneously ignoring cultural differences. Having intercultural communicative competence means accepting the diversity and differences of a multicultural society and being able to professionally deal with foreignness and ethnic tensions without resorting exclusively to cultural or ethnic identity. Intercultural competence is closely linked to other personal characteristics and represents a combination of various social and personal competencies that play an important role not only in the professional sphere, but also in other areas of a person's life. Intercultural interaction requires comprehensive employee preparation for intercultural situations through training and continuous education. The starting point for intercultural training and development should be the refinement or adjustment of the employee's image and professionalism. The method of critical incidents considered in the article, which has gone through the path from a diagnostic method to an authoritative method of intercultural training and is currently successfully applied in foreign countries as a method of systematization of requirements for a specific profession, can be used as the basis for a model of intercultural communicative competence of employees of the migration service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
