CONTEMPORARY FEATURES OF MENTORING ACTIVITIES IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS OF THE RUSSIAN MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS

Abstract:
Mentoring as an educational strategy is part of a new educational paradigm that is being promoted in many areas today. It involves comprehensive interaction between mentees and mentors, whose actions are aimed at unlocking the potential of each mentee and helping them achieve the best results in their educational and professional activities. In the system of educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, this implies improving the formula «knowledge – teacher – student» in which the direction «from knowledge to competencies» plays a leading role. The identified features of mentoring activities led to a theoretical study, the main results of which are presented in the article. The study identified the characteristic features of the activity in question and provided specific recommendations for improving its effectiveness.
