Abstract:
The article provides a historical and legal analysis of the legal status of the male gender group within the framework of the regulatory regulation of the «Great Yasa» of Genghis Khan and «Iki Tsaajin Bichik» — the most important sources of Mongolian and Oirat—Kalmyk medieval law, as well as other monuments of the law of nomadic peoples who lived during the classical and late Middle Ages on the territory of modern Russia. In the work, the legal regulation of nomadic peoples in the field of men's rights and duties is investigated using the historical method. In his research, the author uses a retrospective analysis to identify the peculiarities of the legal status of men in the Golden Horde and medieval Oirat states.
