Theoretical issues related to the genesis of the formation and formation of military law as a legal science are considered. The peculiarities of its subject and method are revealed; reasonable conclusions are made that allow considering military law in the field of legal knowledge as an independent branch of the law of the national legal system, as well as as a scientific specialty and academic discipline in the field of legal education in the Republic of Armenia. The approach to solving the problems of military law, including those of an international legal nature, both in the scientific sphere and in the aspect of public administration, ensuring strategic state security, achieving victory on the battlefield is outlined. It is proposed to create a new enlarged scientific specialty, covering not only military, military-legal and defense topics, but also issues of public administration in this vast area.
