The features of the formation of a trace pattern during the commission of vandalism are considered. Based on the analysis of forensic investigative practice and scientific research, its specifics have been studied, and proposals have been made to facilitate the effective detection and investigation of this crime. Since at present, in addition to material traces, digital traces often remain when committing this unlawful encroachment, the features of their detection and seizure are considered.
