The understanding and structure of readiness for teaching activity is presented. The relevance of studying this issue among novice teachers of educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is substantiated. The components of readiness for teaching activity are described: motivational-value, regulatory and operational components. The results of an empirical study obtained on a sample of beginning teachers from various educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia are presented. Factors characterizing the components of readiness for teaching activity have been identified: organizational-value, motivational-energetic, coping-enterprising, creative-interactive.
