The purpose of the research is to identify the role of creativity in the formation of a person's general culture, in the development of spiritual and moral values of a personality. The article analyzes the views of philosophers and thinkers who considered creativity to be the main driving force of humanity. It is emphasized that creativity is based on the struggle against existing mental stereotypes, and such a quality as the ability to defend one's innovative, previously unspoken point of view on an existing problem must necessarily be present in the arsenal of personal qualities of a person. As a result of the research, it was found that the ability to creatively solve problems, along with intelligence and moral qualities of a person, have become the primary requirements for a modern person. Personal growth is impossible without a creative component that encourages a person not only to think innovatively, but also to think critically. The development of a creative personality largely depends on the educational systems and methods used in the learning process.
